Fort Locks is a family-owned 225 unit storage facility located in Channahon, Illinois. The facility has 160 outdoor fenced parking spots for boats, campers and other vehicles. The buildings were erected in 2003 and opened for business in January of 2004. The same staff has been running the company since the grand opening. All of the buildings are steel frames with insulated roofs and concrete floors. The indoor storage units are surrounded by pavement with a minimum of 30 feet between buildings and are protected from flooding by storm drains and raised concrete flooring.

For the past 12 years our goal is to provide secure, clean storage at a reasonable price. During the recent recession we held our prices constant for 3 years in order to help our customers get through tough economic times. Also during recent tornados and flooding we have donated space for those in need.

Fort Locks Self-Storage has been there to help and to provide a service for those needing extra space for their homes and businesses. We participate in local community events, like the Three Rivers Festival and Parade and sponsoring local sports teams. In 2012 Fort Locks became a U-Haul dealer providing rental trucks and trailers for customers in need of moving equipment.

Each customer at Fort Locks is treated with respect and many of our customers have become good friends. New customers are shown how to operate the roll-up doors, our security gate system and given a tour of the facility. Rental rates are guaranteed to never increase for at least one year from move-in date.

Please take time to look at our facility pictures here on the website. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 am until 5 pm and we are open on Saturdays from 8 am until noon.
